INRiM PRIZE 2022 or the best Master's Degree Thesis in the Science of Measurements (year 2020)

The National Institute of Metrological Research awards the five best master's degree theses relating to precision measurements or studies, both theoretical and experimental, of phenomena or technologies that can contribute, directly or indirectly, to the science of measurements or to the verification of the laws of nature

The evaluation will be carried out exclusively on the basis of the papers and not on the curriculum studiorum of the candidates. The evaluation criteria adopted for the judgment will be methodological rigor, originality, relevance to the topic of the competition, the expected impact, repercussions and applicability.

Each prize amounts to € 500.00 (five hundred euros).

Theses discussed in an Italian university in the period from January 1st to December 31st 2021, at the end of master's degree courses (or five-year degree courses) will be taken into consideration.

To participate in the selection, the candidate must send  an e-mail  to  direzione.scientifica@inrim.it  bearing the wording "INRIM Award for Master's Degree Thesis", no later than 1:00 pm on April 15, 2022, attaching:

  1. the appropriate application form, duly completed;
  2.  a copy of the thesis and the master's degree certificate;
  3. a summary (maximum 1000 words) highlighting results, novelties and possible developments.
