International Master in Digital Subsea Infrastructure

Subsea digital infrastructures are essential to global connectivity, energy security and the resilience of communication networks. To meet the growing demand for specialised expertise in this strategic field, the Second Level University Master in Digital Subsea Infrastructure has been established as one of the first academic programmes dedicated to training experts in subsea digital infrastructure.

The Master is promoted by the Department of Naval, Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering (DITEN) at the University of Genoa.

The programme has been developed through an industrial partnership with Telecom Italia Sparkle  S.p.A. (Italia)and  SubOptic Foundation Limited (UK), as well as an academic cooperation agreement with the University of California, Berkeley (USA) within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 – Learning Mobility of Individuals programme.

The Master is designed for graduates holding a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification, as well as professionals already working in the sector. It aims to prepare specialists capable of planning, designing, managing and monitoring subsea digital infrastructures, taking on both technical and managerial roles within companies, public bodies and organisations operating in the field.

The programme is delivered entirely in English, lasts one year, and is designed to be compatible with professional commitments through distance learning. It also includes a final project, which may be developed in collaboration with the participant's employer.

Financial support and tuition fee reductions are available for recent graduates, employees of partner companies, graduates from partner universities and the ULYSSEUS Alliance, with different fee categories according to applicants' profiles.

Applications are open until 30 September at 12:00 noon. Full details on the programme, admission requirements, financial support and application procedures are available on the Master's website.
